ASH FORK

We are a Yavapai County governed unincorporated township, with deep roots rich in history. Ash Fork was one of the many railroad towns across the U.S. After the many changes in railway travel and interstate highways, Ash Fork went from a bustling town of 4,000 with a Harvey Hotel and train station in the early 1900´s to a comfortable town of 500 with a larger population in the outlying areas. Ash Fork´s current claim to fame is being the "Flagstone Capital of the World." Our second claim to fame could be cornering the market on beautiful, affordable peace and serenity. Surrounded by national forests, Ash Fork is one of Northern Arizona´s best kept secrets. In addition to the usual gas stations, motels and restaurant we have a medical facility, a public school (K-12). In short Ash Fork is a small, friendly town where you still know your neighbors.
